Tryout Season

Empire Athletics partners with school cheer programs to support teams from tryouts through competition season. Our staff supports programs with tryout packets, tryout preparation, and hands-on training during tryout week, and continues that support through weekly skill training, camps, and clinics. Our focus is on building strong fundamentals, clean technique, and confident athletes—helping programs prepare for camp, competitions, and postseason events like regionals, state, and nationals.

Weekly Training

Weekly training can serve a variety of purposes depending on your team’s goals and needs.

For most school squads, this time is used for ongoing skill development—primarily tumbling, but it can also include stunting, jumps, motions, and overall technique work.

Competitive teams often use weekly training as their dedicated practice time, led by a skills coach with a focus on preparing for competition routines and execution.

Teams enrolled in weekly training also receive discounted rates on additional services such as clinics and camps.

Camps & Clinics

Camps & Clinics

Skill Clinics
Skill clinics are a cost-effective way to strengthen key areas such as tumbling, jumps, and stunting. These focused sessions can help athletes make noticeable progress in a short time.
Flexible training durations are available, ranging from 1 to 5 hours.

Camps
Camps provide extended training opportunities for school squads and can be customized based on each team’s goals. Camps may be shared with other squads from the same school—or even neighboring schools—to help reduce the overall cost.
Options range from 1 to 5 days and can include a mix of tumbling, stunting, routine work, and more.

Basics & Safety Stunt Clinic
Ideal for the start of the season, this clinic focuses on building a strong foundation and promoting injury prevention. It’s a great way to set the tone for the year and ensure athletes are equipped with proper technique and safety knowledge.

Focus areas can include:

  • Forming and assessing stunt groups

  • Injury prevention strategies

  • Grips and technique for beginner through elite stunts

  • Stunt drills to reinforce at team practices

  • Dismounts and basket skills

  • And more, based on your squad’s needs
